I've just taken delivery of a bag of pea protein and have to say I'm in shock over the flavour. It tastes like somethng I should be mixing up to paint on my walls!

Has anyone got any suggestions for flavouring it? I've tried banana nesquick and that just seems to add to the astringent taste. I haven't tried strawberry with it yet and I can't eat chocolate.

What do you all do with it?

Perhaps you could use it in cooking somehow?

Put it in something savoury, like a soup or gravy, and it'll be fine. Cooking with it, as suggested by SLW, is also good. I also found that ketchup masks the taste pretty well for some reason.

Thanks for this - I'll give it a go with some soup powder and have it for lunch or something. Strawberry nesquik was an improvement on banana, but still wasn't great so maybe savoury is the way to go.

Mushroom cup-a-soup does a pretty good job - in fact it actually tastes pretty neutral.

    Result!!

Nice one! My mum uses it (amongst other things) to make gravy for big family meals, too.
