    Anyone who reads my log will know I am currently deadlifting moderate/heavy 4x a week. Years of coniditioning has allowed me to build up to this work rate but recently I have experimented with Peptopro to help speed recovery.

    My protocol was 25g peptopro + 20g Dextrose during my workouts, all other supplementation/nutrition was kept the same.

    While using the peptopro I was able to easily maintain deadlifting 4x a week and never felt fatigued (I used it for about 5 weeks) after 2-3 weeks of no peptopro I have not felt as well recovered and have had to take a couple of deload weeks to get myself back into things. Now in no way am I saying it is a magical formula that will allow you to train a muscle 4x a week and get huge in a month, but it definately helps with recovery.

    Out of 10 I would give it:


    Taste - 4 (CEE being 1, MPmax choc mint being 10)

    Mixability - 10 (no issues)

    Usefullness - 8 (definately very useful when pushing yourself to the limit)

    Overall - 8

    I too found similar things in terms of recovery, I was able to train each body part twice a week, gain size and increase strength by 5kg per session and set pb's all over the place! Maybe I should start taking it again to get out of my bloody injury filled season

    Did the PeptoPro replace another shake or something taken during workouts, or was it a straight addition to your diet?

    This has been my arguement the whole time with regards to it.

    You cannot rate the efficiacy of a product if it wasn't replacing something you already do.

    For instance, if you were already comsuming 30g Whey / Isolate plus dextrose intra-workout, and then replaced the whey for peptopro and noticed the increase in recovery, then fair enough.

    If however the peptopro is a completely new addition, then all I can say is it proves the efficiacy of para-workout nutrition, liquid based or otherwise.

    I still don't think it's THAT much more potent than normal whey / isolate at over 2 x the cost, and the lack of feedback to date suggests it doesn't blow the latter out of the water either.

    I have used whey during a workout but found that bloated me a little. I have also used mixtures of whey/dextrose, BCAA/destrose, BCAA alone, BCAA+Whey+Dextrose.

    Peptopro + dextrose by far was the best.
