Studies never show the full picture. I think it takes about a month for the effects of creatine to dissapate.

Well nobody really knows, so a cycle of a week or two may be a good idea after all, at least to lowere potential negative side effects...

What about your own natural creatine production, wouldnt that come to a complete halt after nonstop longterm supplementation?

Why would your body bother producing it when you have a constant stream of creatine being thrown into your bloodstream?!
    Sounds risky to me

Thats what i mean.... if u supplement for serveral years and then stop, your body would not produce any of its own for a while or maybe even over the long run, but then no one really knows.

I guess cycling is just safer until any studies prove otherwise

My memory isnt that great but im pretty sure its two amino acids that are responsible for making creatine if you fail to get it through diet. I dont think the real problem is making its own such as cells that the creatine saturates becoming desensitised or the transporting system that carries it through to the muscles down regulating.

Ofcourse if theres any literature that can say it all works fine and takes no time at all then all the better i just havent put in the work to research it.

You can saturate your stores by supplementation but I believe the body continues to synthesize it regardless due to ongoing ATP needs.
