hmmm interesting, i miss read the title as "Oats causing me to swear more" lol.
I sweat after eating protein meals, which is good can't say i've ever had the problem with carbs.
anyone else noticed this ?
I have hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) anyway however have really noticed extra sweating since having the oats. Any ideas on why ? do you think dextrose or Maltodextrin would have the same effect as I am thinking of switching.
Also I am using 100g oats 50g protein and 5g BCAAs as a meal replacement so would dextrose or Maltodextrin be ok to replace this ?
My boss at work owns a horse and said that contrary to popular belief it is actually bad to feed horses oats as it makes them too 'hot'. Not sure if this corresponds to what I'm experiencing but interesting nonetheless

Oats shouldnt really cause you to sweat much more than other food substances that are similar to them. Obviously just eating causes your body to 'warm up' but am fairly sure oats will not be any different from other carb sources. Protein sources will 'heat you up' the most![]()
