    Hey all,

Has anyone heard ofnthis product being linked to an increase in heart rate? My resting heart rate is between 105 and 120 and has been since i started taking hurricane xs 1 week ago.

Im 22 non smoker and weigh 200lbs.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Paul.

I have been taking Hurricane XS for a fair ammount of time, and i have never felt a dramatic increase in heart rate but others may know more on this, all i would say is that a resting heart rate of between 105 and 120 seems to be very high. Do you suffer from anything else ? ie i am Diabetic so somethings mess with my blood sugar levels ect. Maybe the shake is reacting with something else you are taking ?

    I've no known medical conditions.

I saw a doctor last night who was uncertain as to why my heart rate is so high and just advised me to cut everything out and stop the gym for a week.

My heart rate never peaks above 155 even during intense cardio; it just wont go lower than 105 for some reason.

I use hurricane xs (morning and PWO) with alpha male tablets (2 twice a day) however i stopped the tablets on saturday night and still havent seen an improvement.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Paul.

that resting heart rate is monstrously high for a young healthy male. . . i think its got nothing to do with the gym or supplements. There is something fundamentally wrong there

Yes i think to work out the average max heart rate the formula is 220-age= Max Heart rate

So for me it would be 201, if i was then looking to work aerobically to burn fat ect i would need to work between 60 - 80% of my max heart rate so about 140 bpm.

So initially you are already at my required heart rate before you have done anything, and then once you start to work out, say you played a game of rugby. Where at times you are required to sprint ect, i am sure my heart rate would hit near the 180/190 mark. If yours is peaking at 155 all the time and nothing above that, i think it would be highly beneficial to go and see a doctor and explain this.

Being Diabetic i have some advice when it comes to seeing doctors and i seem to spend half my life talking to them.

When they ask you a question such as on this subject, don’t mention taking of supplements and suddenly starting a new work out regime as it gives him an easy way out, IE stop working out and taking supps and rest for a week.

Just say your heart rate is extremely high during rest that you have been monitoring it and it is starting to affect your everyday life. Hopefully then it will take less time for them to start looking into these things seriously.

Ps don’t get to worried about things like this hopefully everything will been fine, it may be a case of stress ect.

Thanks to everyone for your responses.

After stopping everything monday night my resting heart rate is now down to 64bpm average (down from 75 yesterday) so i must have reacted to something in one of the supplements i was taking.

I'll leave it a week and then reintroduce things one at a time (gym, hurricane, alpha males)

Thanks again and i'll update here when i know more.
