This is an ongoing thing for me, but I'm noticing it becoming a bit of a problem more recently and I'm wondering if supplementation would be worth trying.
I'm not a stupid by any means but I things sometimes just don't click and it's not so good for some social situations where I just end up appearing rude or ignorant.

I was considering trying Guarana Extract in the morning, along with a brief workout and run. Would this be a good starting point, or would anything else be worth a go?

The issue here, is that you are not sure what the matter is. Without knowing the cause, it is not possible to 'prescribe' a 'cure'.

See what your doctor thinks. If he/she thinks that it is nothing serious, then let us (wotan/nu) know, and we (they) can help you out

It's something I've always suffered from if I'm honest. I know that at the moment I just need to exercise more and sleep better, that should clear a lot of issues up, but even then I'm still not what I would consider 'switched on'. It might be worth saying I suffer from very mild aspergers (well, diagnosed like that when I was 13)
I'm just after a few generic suggestions

i have aspergers, i dont see it as a disability, to me its an ability. i think more methodicaly than most pepole and too be honest i wouldnt be suprised if 60% of this forum have it in some way. think of it as a tool and use it to your advantage. the problem that can happen is you load your brain up with 1001 thoughts at once to the point that nothing works anymore and your brain shuts down. you just need quiet time to go away and think whats realy important and eliminate all the rubbish thats making you lose focus. go somewere peaceful when you do this and spend a few hours there and dont worry about your usual routine. when i come back from when i do this all thats in my mind is my girlfriend (she had to come first lol) my gym and my career goals. ive lived with it since i was 5 so i know what im talking about. oh and by the way 90% of supplements are usless. all you need is whey and maybe creatine. and if you want to maybe a preworkout formula.

I have seen a boost in my mental performance and sharpness (but also more anxiety to be honest) since using pure DHA 500mg a day (which unfortunately MP doesn't sell). DHA has a documented record on mental performance and what you call "being switched on" (as if there was a way to switch off...).

That sounds exactly right.. I get caught up on things in my head, many things, unrelated mostly. I might try some meditation.. I'm trying to just get some decent sleep, a quick morning workout 3x a week and climbing a few times a week, just to keep myself physically/mentally fit( I've been VERY rundown lately because of the junk I've been eating, bad sleep and lack of exercise)

I'm not on about downing tonnes of supps, all I've been looking at is guarantine and the like.. But I might try some of the green powders (I leave the house at like 9 in the morning and get back in 10ish at night :/) just for the health benefits (Worth it?)

Ah cool. That sounds like just the thing.

I detest fish, I do have some omega3 liquid from [competitor] daily, 2tbsp, but I'll switch to MP version when I run out since it's slightly better value I'll have to be taking it more religiously I suppose.

After doing weights and going for a run though, I'm finding I feel like my head is much clearer. I'm also not stuffing myself with food, which is helping.

Green powders aren't too pricey.. But I'm wondering if they're worth it for people who are on the go a lot, and are very active?
