    Hi there,

    I wondered if someone could give me some advice with dosage of whey and hurricane xs.

    I train mornings at 8am 3-4 times a week. When i'm not training I take whey twice a day (mornings and mid afternoon).

    On training days I want to take Hurricane XS after my workout but am unsure if it's best to take it first thing or after my workout? I was thinking i would take it after my morning workout then i'd have a normal whey later in the day? Would this be ok?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Surely hurricane XS s a pre-work out supp...ie you take it before training....wouldn't expect any benefit over normal whey if your taking it after a workout???? not sure though

    Also if your supplementing protein on non-training days you might want to look into casein proteins as they release in the body more slowly....I assume this would suit you better or why would you be taking it on your off days.

    Finally what training are you doing??? If its weights then training in the morning isn't ideal....how much energy do you think your muscles have at 8am, especially if your not having anything until post-WO

    Hope this helps....plenty of peeps on here will tell me if i'm wrong lol

    You don't need to have protein shakes on non training days. The only real benefit of it is its convenience and fast digestion which is even debatable. Just eat properly. All round nutrition is important imo rather than pre and pwo but what you eat in the 24 hours pwo is just as important as your pre workout meal if you ask me

    Thanks for the comments guys.

    I agree trainging at 8am is tough but it's the only guaranteed training time I get as i ioften work late. I start the morning with museli and a banana so any advice for morning fuel would be much appreciated.

    I was told Hurricane XS is a post work out shake? Doh! Getting good results from it though and am feeling good. I tried the banana flavour which is ... er shall we say not very nice... anyone recommend any flavours?

    It's both pre and post it has good things for both. Granted you could make a better pre and post shake if you took singular ingrediants but HXS makes life even easier.

    Plus there is no harm taking HXS after your workout then using whey later in the day. Just use them to supplement your diet in areas it struggles.
