    Hi Guys.

Been using Myprotein products for a number of years now.
Recently decided to try and bulk up a bit, so have just used a Tub of Total Gainer.

Amazing stuff, already seeing the change, but I have gone through it in no time at all!
I have around 3.5kg of unflavoured myprotein whey that I have still yet to use up, and it goes off around May time. I would happily buy more Total Gainer, but i would like to finish off the Whey at the same time.

So I am asking, could I buy some Myprotein instant oats, and some Myprotein Maltodextrin (both ingredients of total gainer) and have this shake instead? Would it produce similar results?

    Thanks for your help.

Yeah, of course you can do that. You'll get the exact same results, I assure you. I'd be tempted to lower, or remove, the maltodextrin entirely but that's your decision.

For flavour lots of people use Nesquik too. I did it once, I had to use half spoons because the taste was too strong. Did the trick though.

Can I ask why you would not advise maltadextrin? I'm perfectly happy just using Oats, cheaper overall, but just wondering.

Taste is not a huge issue for me, but most of the time I just add some cocoa and it tastes fine.

Thanks for the quick reply HBK

Malto is basically sugar, practically nutrientless!

Okay, fair enough, I should have realised that!
