    Hi Everyone

I'm really looking for some advise regards what products to but and when to use them.

I've very sporty, and have been training on and off for years but I have never ever bother with any kind of nutrition plan/diet so I know nothing about what to take and when.

So I have started doing this P90x workout and the nutrition side of things has me really confused. Would anyone be able to suggest what Myprotein products I can use/buy instead of the P90x branded stuff that costs a small fortune, and how to use them to get the best results?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Lenny

I would say be careful doing these workouts you have to pay for... they are a bit of a waste of money in terms of what you get - considering the fact that if you were to use myprotein forums for training regimes, you would see more results at no cost! Dont be fooled by these testamonials and before/after shots of people who seemed to have dropped loads - its clever marketing but sometimes these workouts just dont have that effect.

The idea behind this workout is low carb high protein.
I would say you need to use:
    - Impact Whey Protein for after training.
    - Milk Protein (or casein shake) before bed to ensure your body is kept anabolic through the night.
    - BCAA+ - probably the best muscle building amino blend out there for the price on here.
    - Some kind of multi-vit maybe 'alpha men'
    - Thermopure for fat burn.

Alternatively, they do some great stacks at reduced rates. Go for lean mass bundle i think its called, looks great.

Sorry to sound so negative about the workout, i wish you all the best with it. Keep us posted to how it goes.

My advice would be to start off with all you really need is a decent multivitamin and some good quality whey. Potentially add some fish oils and vitamin d for extra health boosts.

There is no point spending out loads of money on things until you have researched them and understand why you want to take them and how they can supplement your training.

I did Insanity 2 years ago and I only drank a whey protein shake after the workouts. Sorting out a good diet full of lean proteins, fibrous veg and good quality carbs will do more than any tablet can do. Alternately look into Intermitten Fasting. I have been doing it since January 2nd and I have lost over 5kg, still kept my muscles and improved my lifts.

P.s With P90X make sure your shoes are good. I started to get shin splints with insanity as it was highly plyometric.

Anyone had any experience of this workout plan...I haven't but just googled it and it looks like another load of 'mens health' style pap

Have you read Spiderdan's Beginners Guide and the Need a Routine thread on these forums, they'll serve you a lot better since a) they're free and b) they're full of sound advice.
If a site's trying to sell me a workout then I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw this laptop

To answer your question tho (lol)

    Impact Whey for PWO
    Total Peptide for before bed
Alpha men / Daily Vit's for vitamins
Thermopure if you need to burn max fat (and cash)

TBH wth a perfect diet you wont need ANY of this (but we don't all have the perfect diet)
