    Been having alook around for good pre workout shakes so forth but alot of them have ingredients in them i dont want caffiene so on so thought it was time i made my own only problem is really is amounts so thought id post on here and look for advice

    Wee bit of info on me: Soldier 30 years old 89kg's diet is good cardio or circuit training in the morning (0800) no more than a hour max weights in the evening (1900) 45min to a hour.

    Here are my ingredients for my pre workout shake just looking for how much

    Whey (Good base to work 25-30grams includes EAA's)
    Instant Oats (low GI allows for a good steady realease of energy)
    Beta Alanine (increasing concentration of the dipeptide carnosine in the muscles, and prevention of lactic acid)

    As for the carbs ill be working that out over the time but is a good rule of thumb 1gram per kg of body weight good idea? since i will be taking a post workout shake after which will also contain carbs fast realsing (Dextrose)

    Hi Mate
    would personally use 25 g whey, 50 instant oats and whatever the dosage says on your pack of beta alanine, think its going to be around a few grams. However this is when i was bulking. If you aim is too lose bodyfat then dispense with the whey and oats and just have the beta alanine.
