    Hi All
Just about to begin a cut after a couple of months on a bulk , made some good gains doing a Bill Starr 5 x 5 workout , I realise that strict diet is the absolute essential or theres no point and Im currently working out me %,s and amounts of carbs proteins and fat .
Has anyone ever has success or experience with sida and caffeine . Im 6'1 16 stone and estimate about 20% bodyfat . Are the sida and caffeine gains going to minimal with my reasonably high % bodyfat

    Cheers MAK

They are both good additions with a sound diet as you have said. both with help increase metabolism and thus burn a little more calories. I'd skip the sida though and get pure ephedra. It is still available online (cant post link as is a competitor) and for quite cheap too.

One thing I've been looking into recently which would help you out a little is alcar - you can get it from here for cheap. This basically helps your body oxidise fatty acids to be used for energy, which is a good thing.

Since you'll be dieting it might be a idea to get a good amino acid supplement. The best and most affordable being a good nutritional yeast supplement. This will supply you with all the amino acids as well as plenty of b-vitamins. Amino Acids are the building blocks of muscle and being on a restricted diet, these will also be limited, limiting your bodys ability to use them to synthesis muscle. A tab or two with each meal will topup the amino acid profile of that meal and thus provide a better anabolic environment for building and/or maintaining lean body mass.

Are you saying that as well as the whey I'm taking it would be advisable to supplement with BCAA's to keep the amino levels up . I thought the whey was a good source or is it just to top it up as obviously Ill be consuming less

    Cheers

Your right Whey as a very good amino acid profile. however you dont consume whey at every meal. Most protein sources having missing aminos that make the protein less usable to the body. By supplementing you improve the bioavailability of the aminos (protein) to the muscle. You could get the same effect by mixing protein sources i.e. eating tuna with chicken as no 2 protein sources have the same missing amino so by mixing your filling the 'gap'..

I beleive whilst dieting as your food choices will be severly limited supplementing with an amino product is a good way to hold on to as much muscle as possible.

    Good read here: http://forum.myprotein.co.uk/showthr...ht=amino+acids

Not necessary but its way better than eph.

I have written many posts about how the gum is not addictive, a quick search for nicotine should help. Its me with my personal experience of it not being addictive with scientific backup and a load of ex smokers who have never used it the way I have saying im stupid basically.

Not sure about that one but ok it raises metabolism and isnt addictive (depending who you ask lol). I'd probably say its about as addictive as caffeine and then I guess depends if you have an addictive personality as to weather you get hooked. Interesting choice of stimulant none the less. So how many 'gums' is 24mcgs?

6 gums but I have taken up to 12 a day(had 12 a day for 6-8weeks), just stopped 1 day with no bad effects. It raises metabolism and kills appetite way better than ephedrine!
