Hi I am an 18 year old at college who wants to gian muscle/bulk up a bit. A few years ago I bought some weight gain stuff from Body Fortress thats for sale in Holland & Barretts. I bought some weights and thats when I noticed decent gains - in my arms. This past month I have been On Maximucles 'All in my product' but have not seen any gains at all. One reason for this is that my school gym has not been open for me to go more than once a week ( I want to go on a monday and thursday at the moment, in the summer/ sooner if it remains to be not open I will join a cheap gym close to my house). This tub is nearly all gone ! And I do not know what to get next. I have been told by various sources it is a rip off. I have done alot of reading around and try to eat more Protein now e.g. Alot more tuna, Nutri Grain bars, Have as much chicken and fish for tea as I can (not lean meat though) I have also been mixing Flax oil with my shakes. I would appreciate advice on what foods to eat, would like to know if its still possible to get a good body without all this religious 3 hours big meals. Realistically I am in College most days. I cannot cook yet but when I am at home this is something I could change. I have also read about alot of young people (alot my age) going bald by using shakes and it has put me off a bit so I am not pro loads of supplements. I didnt realize my Maximuscle had Creatine and this Dextrose (thats talked about alot and I dont know what it is!) in it.

Welcome! To start with get some MP Whey. I use Mint Choco and un flav, both are doing well. Hurrican is ment to be another good thing to use. I havnt brought it yet, but am planning to. Body Fotress isnt to good, its about 17.9g of protein per serving, get it from here, its almost 30g per serving.

With other competitors names, please dont say them on here, there not allowed...

You should have a look on some of the forums on here, they can tell you what you need to be eating. ie 5-6 small meals a day and a good training program for how many days you train.

Have a look on the main page, on the bottom left, what ever your goal is, have a look on there. Good work outs and diet helping.

Ok cheers, well i am slagging the other make off though? Although the well known brand does give 60g of protein a day ( 2 servings) that is higher than the MP whey I think?

Yeah I know, carry on if you wish, just saying before someone else does. Yeah there are many good Protein's out there, but for an exellent price from MP, its gotta be hard to beat.

And ive noticed a lot of the plans on here only include shakes after workouts. I was under the impression youre meant to have the protein shakes twice daily regardless of workouts to keep your intake up (although I would rather have as little supplements as possible now as I am weary)

Supplements are meant just for that reason-to supplement your diet. If you are going to struggle to get some food down ya then grab a shake, at your age a good balanced diet and hard training would do wonders, like everyone else on here will say get everything else in order before worrying about supplements. Try searching for diets and routines-there is a wealth of adfvice for people in your situation. Then post up your current diet and routine and we'll advise. Good luck

Because the serving size is probably 2x as big .

Have a read of the articles on the main page of the site, choose your goal and stick to the program. Its not hard to eat around school, I've done it since I was 16(I'm now 20). Just make it all up the night before.

The competitor u mentioned will most probably be good stuff, but its theprice that is the real issue isn't it, especially when u can get the same stuff here for more than half the price!!

It all comes down to economics in the end!

Thanks guys, you mean the advice on the main site ? I'll have another look but there full on lean meat meals every 3 hours which isnt possible. He also used alot of supplements that are just stated with letters. I dont know what they stand for. I need help on everything really but a workout shouldnt be as difficult as long as I can get to the gym. Would you have those oats plus the protein? On the workout I think the guy only has the protein after workouts....

I was all for every supplements that help, but the side effects particularly baldness has put me off.

And i know fair play about the price. Just I didnt see any gains (granted I didnt do much at the gym) And i wouldnt be getting the amino acids - but then again i think I want to stray as natural as possible due to the reason mention previously.
