"Muscle fibres arwe repaired in between 36 and 48hours. It is the CNS that takes a battering with failure training once per week.

IMO training each muscle 2-4x a week non failure produces the best results."

Each to their own, as I say that was just my opinion, there are loads of variations but this is working for me.

whaat u are experiencing at the moment are new gains (newbie gains basicly) your muscles arent used to going to the gym so are quickly growing to compensate, this will however stop soon ( )

your workout plan atm has alot of isolation excersises, works too many body parts a week and wont have the intensity needed to grow muscle. the best routine is a split, this can be into either 2 body parts a day 3 times a week i.e. chest arms, legs, back shoulders or a slight variation of this is a push pull and legs day.

My newbie gains have stopped now, Its actually quite annoying. Your rountine may be called crap as you're hitting your muscles too many times in one week.

Each muscle should only be targeted once a week, any more than that is too much and will prevent the maximum growth you can achieve. Many of your muscles will get a workout when doing other areas, I.e your triceps are worked when doing shoulders and biceps when doing back.

You should ideally aim for a split workout which will allow time to rest and grow, Such as:

    Monday - Shoulders & Tri's
    Wednesday - Back & Bi's
    Friday - Chest & Legs

(Thats mine anyway, or switch the days to tuesday thursday saturday if thats better)

By using this routine you get a days rest inbetween as Meathead pointed out earlier, and 7 days rest inbetween each targeted muscle.

Anything i've missed i'm sure someone will point out, or anything i've said thats not entirely true someone will point out. I hope thats been of some help to you.
