Hi,
I've been watching this other thread http://forum.myprotein.co.uk/showthread.php?p=253172#post253172 requesting Training Diaries in the Product Request forum with interest. I've seen some diaries 'n' stuff on the high street in Borders - but they're too heavy & way to complicated (weekly / monthly graphs to fill in etc.)
So, having been inspired to come up with my own solution I remembered seeing this website mentioned in a newspaper last year http://www.pocketmod.com/
Basically you print-off onto A4 paper, fold it, make 1-cut, fold a bit more & voila! You have a neat A7 sized diary/organiser (74 x 105mm).
If you print on both sides - then you can unfold it, turn it over & use both sides - saves you on paper.
Cheap cheerful & easy to use!
So, I've used my spare time to create a homemade version for workouts.
Feel free to let me know what you think!
There are 3-versions of my Training-Diariesall saved to PDF file & I've put them on the web for anyone to download & use. Each file is 2-pages, to give you the option to select duplex printing (printing on both sides) if your printer has that option.
There are columns for exercise, weight used, reps., & for multiple sets - there's a version to log food into it too.
Use this link http://www.divshare.com/folder/359442-185 to find & download them if you like![]()
(1) Training Diary - 2 Weeks - This has room for 10x exercises per day, 7 days per A4 page (1-sided), or 14 days (if you print on both sides).
(2) Training Diary & Comments - 6 Days This has room for 10x exercises per day, 3 days per A4 page (1-sided), or 6 days (if you print on both sides). Also you can add comments next to each workout-day (e.g. for your new goals next time, or if you needed to show you tried a new exercise for the first time etc.).
(3) Training & Nutrition Diary - 6 days This has room for 8x exercises per day, 3 days per A4 page (1-sided), or 6 days (if you print on both sides). Additionally this version has the feature of a food/drink log next to each day. You can record your KCals/ Protein / Carbs / Sugar / Fat / Fibre. There's even little "glasses of water" so you can see how much water you've drunk that day too. There is also a small space for comments/ notes too.
They are free, gratis, cost nuffink… I just like to share useful stuff when I come across it & I enjoyed creating these from scratch - it was fun!Quote
How to Make them
VIDEO: Here's a link on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAb31rIeGZo which shows a video of how to fold & make-up your diary.
WRITTEN: Here's a printable instruction page too http://www.divshare.com/download/4918023-2f4
PLEASE NOTE: If you’re printing my PDF files with Windows, make sure to select “Page Scaling = None” on the print options when you print out the PDF file or Acrobat Reader will shrink the document down by a few percent and it will not fold properly.
For best results please use a mono laser printer if you can.
