Anybody ever found any HEAVY ankle weights on sale? if so would you have a handy link.
(the dumbbells don't go heavy enough these days it seems and I am tired of being told 'we are buying new ones in a few weeks/years'..)

What are you going to use them for?

I dont have much experience with strap ons though to be honest.

Ankle weights may find their way around my wrists while using gym dumbbells. I'm fairly advanced.

Why dont you try strapping a washing machine or a piano or soemthing to your wrists as well as the DB's?

wy not get a small length of rope, loop it arround some 1.25's and then arroun the dumbbell handle and just have it dangle down your arm or off the end of the dumbbell?!

I remember there were those magnetic plates that stuck to the dumbells, but pretty sure they weren't more than a few kg and were quite expensive. Guessing you'll probs have to convert to a barbell really.
My advice useful? Then use MP45436 to get 5% off on your first order and earn me some reward points!

They don't have adequate handles or somewhere to attach straps. Also someone would pick them up then drop them while working out, breaking them until someone can come in to re-weld them up.

Thanks on the replies guys -I have checked things out on the web and on your links and I believe I may have to do a home build for my wrist straps, so that the weight can be quickly altered in increments and will go to a maximum of about 5kg each side whilst being balanced enough to use with a natural feeling.

That would look quite silly if you attached rubber strap ons to your wrists and they wobbled about while you were pushing out the reps.

On a more serious note you can get actual magnetic weights that you attach to the dumbells as opposed to your wrists.
