So I'm getting to the point where I think i will benefit from the use of a belt and I'm not sure which one to choose.

This one. Single prong, 3 3/4" wide, 10mm thick - Raw Power Training single prong weightlifting belt | eBay

    This one. Lever, 4" wide, 10mm thick - https://www.strengthshop.co.uk/power...ever-belt.html

They are the 2 that i've found that seem the best so far. At the moment im leaning toward the first, single prong, belt. any other ideas or suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks

Personally I find the thick leather belts quite constricting. I mainly use my big lever arch belt for very heavy event training such as yoke run, frame carry etc...

I recently purchased the rehband power line back support. https://www.strengthshop.co.uk/cloth...k-support.html

I now use it for gym lifts as it is awesome. Does not offer as much support as a regular belt, but allows for much greater flexibility.

What advantage does a lever have over a buckle? the ability to crank it extra tight? or is it just preference?

Lever belts will go extra tight but require more adjustment if especially if you want to have different tightnesses for different exericses.

I bought a Zulu Glove belt recently after I lost my lever belt. Its a single prong but doesnt have a traditional buckle.

Still getting used to it but its solidly built and easy to use.

I had the strength shop lever before....it was good but I did find after a fair amount of use the holes were getting a little worn and when trying to go tight the belt buckled in on itself. (probably me just being too fat, but you get the idea)

Odevans has a Zulu Glove too, it does look good.

I got this... Bodymax Power Lifting Belts at Powerhouse Fitness I'm happy with it, but the medium is actually small! If I'd seen the Zulu Glove before buying mine I'd have gone with that.

Powerlifting Belt Defcon Evolution 2 Powerlifting belt Jet Black

I couldn't spot the thickness anywhere though. are they 10mm?

Edit: pretty sure they are even though it doesn't say anywhere on the page as all the other belts are 10mm.

    10mm matey.

As with every good belt, it is stiff and horrible to use for the first 15 times, but once it has softened up and you are using it properly, it is amazing. The buckle is an absolute god send. It is incredibly easy to get tight, and it is off within half a second.

If you get it, and don't like it after giving it a few months, I'll purchase it from you.
