yes, my bench hasnt progressed much, hence why i am going to try dumbell presses for a cpl weeks, i reckon i can still add some more to the squats, but i am taking them easy
if i could bench my own bodyweight i would be more than happy![]()
Just looked back to the start of your journal....you started on 55kg squats! Now you're at 100! thats brilliant progress

Have you experimented with different width grips? The link Richard posted is good for tips. Unfortunately I think some people just have problems with bench.
Do you have a spotter? I find I can lift more if I do, simply from a not being terrified I'm going to drop the bar on my neck kinda way
well occasionally my brother might be there to assist on a lift if i need be, but it still doesnt help to much,
i must just be one of those guys with bad bench syndrome![]()

May be the switch to DB will help bump you out of the plateau.
My bro suffers from gibbon syndrome (really long arms) so he has a terrible time with bench, he switched to DB and is now doing the 55kg DB (irritating as hell but he has been training nearly 10 years now) but now his standard bench is a lot stronger too.
well my arms are pretty average i think..
anyone know roughly a good weight to be pressing each hand?
in respect to my already crap bench? i havent a clue what to start with today, maybe just pick a weight, try a cpl presses, if its too heavy drop it down, if its too light i will increase
