    Hi guys,

    Im 6ft 3 and about 90kg...

I have some big rugby tournaments coming up in May.
My general fitness is pretty good and i try and go to the gym at least 3 times a week and play rugby once a week.

I am trying to bulk up but lose a bit of weight round the stomach which has increased due to a lack of aerobic fitness as I work in the city!

As from next week I am going to be off booze for 3 weeks.... so ill be looking to run first things int eh morning and hit the gym for times a week in the evening.

Does anyone know a great bulking up routine?

Im will start to increase my whey protein consumption as of next week, [poo competitor product]after a workout and taking thermopure.

I have used [poo competitor product] before but not thermopure. When should i be taking it before running or gym workout? I generally eat high protein meals... but if anyone has some food ideas, that would be great.

    Thanks for your time

Check out the 'Westside for Skinny B*stards' series of articles by Joe DeFranco. The training plans are intelligently put together, fun, variable, and very effective - even if you are a big b*stard!

If I were you I would definatly look into westside. As a rugby player also I have found it good when lifting to concentrate on improving your big three e.g. squat bench deadlift. By doing this you have good ways to measure you weights training, as aposed to doing a bb type split for more aesthetic gains. I would also add in some powercleans and some sort of over head press as both are important to a rugby player.
