Good luck! Keep us all updated.
I've been doing a lot of reading on this for the last few weeks and yes I know nothing is as good as real food but I've decided to give this a shot. My main reason behind this is for the main side effect the majority of people who follow this diet record. The fact that it completly re-writes their taste's and attitude towards food. Obviously the fat loss is a good point but I'm mainly doing this to as I struggle hugely with junk foods.
I know all about what macros to have with what and to stay well clear of trans fats etc, etc...and I have done quite well with this over the past few months of eating low carb/high fat and having my carb ups at the weekend as per the 'anabolic diet', these to me though were excuse's to eat what ever I wanted at the weekends. I did at one point completly get fed up with the carb ups and went a full month with out them, however they have crept back in and with avengence they have come. My diet is now at the worse it's been for the last 6 months. This is going to be the big shock tactic to get it back on track.
I've had a troll through all the previous threads about the V-Diet that are on MP but I struggle to find any that really go into depth or give anybody's real life experinces of following this method. So hopefully this will become a good reference point for people in the future who are considering it.
I'm going to be following the diet as close as possible to the original one but using MP's supplements instead. Total Protein, Thermopure, Recovery XS and Flax Seed Powder (which i've just realised I forgot to order). Unfortunatly my budget doesn't stretch to BCAA's but they are an additonal supp on this and just used for 'muscle insurance'. I already have a big supply of Omega 3's.
I'm going to stick with my current HST split but stay in the 10 reps and reduce my rest time to bring it closer to a 3x10 fat loss programme.
Sticking my body weight into this equation:
(10.2 x bodyweight + 879) x .50 =
And then again with this equation:
(10.2 x bodyweight + 879) x .60 =
Gives me at 208lbs, a daily calorie allowance of:
1500kcals on non training days and
1800kcals in training days.
My starting measurements are as follows
Weight 208lbs (14st10)
-Around the largest part of belly/love-handle area: 96.5cm
-Upper Leg Right: 65cm Left: 64.5cm
-Lower Leg Right: 41cm Left: 41.5cm
-Ankle Right: 25cm Left: 25cm
-Chest: 109.5cm
-Between belly button and nipple line (upper ab area) 30.5cm
-Shoulders: 49cm across
-Upper Arms Right: 35cm relaxed 40cm flexed
Left: 34.5cm relaxed 39.5cm flexed
-Neck: 41cm
For those out there who don't already now me please feel free to read my training log here.
There is no turning back for me on this as I placed a £150 order for the required supplements yesterday and that is my usual food budget for the same time period that this will cover!
This will begin on monday 15th September so wish me luck.

Dave, having done the V-Diet myself don't use MP's Flax powder. Instead buy whole flax seed and grind them yourself either by hand (extra workout) or in a coffee grinder. If you're lazy (like me) and can afford it, my local Tesco's do pre milled Flax Seeds in 500g pouches, they're by a compnay called Linusit - looks for them in the wholefoods section.
You may want to know why I'm recommending the above, and its down to the fact that you're getting the whole flax seed rather than an extracted powder version, the fats will still be intact with the milled flax and be digestible, plus it'll give you a good slug of much needed fibre to keep you full and regular, and its lignan content with associated health benefits. I think that milling you're own flax or buying it in like I did is essential to the diet's success, I think I was using 2-3 25g servings a day dependant on calorie intake for the day.

ATZ..Tesco's do it?? cool will have a look. If not where'd you get the whole seed from?
What was your opinion of the diet on a whole? Does it have such a big effect on your tastes as everyone makes out?
Con.. Tesco had tubs of 180 caps on offer for £3 a few months back, so I bought 20 of them. Got 5x 1.8kg bags of TP. If need more will order as needed.

Good luck! From my own experience it is going to change your tastes, though whether this is due to the diet or just due to sticking to the same drink for 4 weeks I'm not sure.
Did you just get one flavour of protein or several? The variation can make a huge difference and help prevent you from disliking one of your favourite flavours. Sugar free jelly and green teas can help with any hunger/wish to eat extra foods and if you can clear out your fridge before you start it'll remove a source of temptation.
I would also recommend taking some caliper measurements if you're not already, you'll want to know if you dropped much fat or not.

Whole seed from tesco's too actually, that or a well known highstreet healthstore!
My opinions on the diet?
- First few days / first week actually are hell, gets easier after that. By the end of the diet you're kinda in the zone so STICK WITH IT!
- Do the low intensity cardio recommended, I did this with a lunchtime walk at work, clears the head.
- Tastes changed immeasurably as a result, I hardly ever crave proper junk food now (well the od bit of dark choc now and again won't hurt!)
- On a diet like this good sleep for recovery is essential, I found a proper dose of Zinc and Magnesium plus Clipper" Sleep Easy" tea helped before bed.
- Accept that fact that some of your workouts are gonna suck, but get through them, lift hard and heavy but withough great volume to hang on to what muscle you've got.
- Don't skimp on the fish oil.
