Diet & cardio altered following further advice

OK folks, after a lot of good advice from people...present company included I'm now set up to start my cut. I'm going to post pics every Saturday (excluding the forthcoming) so this thread should keep me motivated when it gets tough...I hope

I'm 5'10", currently at about 12% fat (going by accumeasure calipers - how accurate are these - do you guys think that's about right?) and about 162lbs.

Interim goal: 10% bf by 25th March

Ultimate goal: 6-8% by 29th April, keeping weight above 150lbs

    Diet & training:
    7:00am
50g porridge oats with 350ml skimmed milk
    5g flax seed
    Honey
    25g whey in water
    Tea
    Multivitamins
    100mg l-glutamine

    7:45am - HIIT training (30 mins)

    8:30am
    100g chicken
    Wholemeal pita
    Salad ingredients
    Dijon mustard

    11:30am
    Wholemeal pita
    180g tuna (spring water)
    Salad ingredients

    12:45pm - Weight training

    1:30pm - Post workout
    50g whey
    40g maltodextrin (in water)

    3:00pm
    Yoghurt
    25g whey

    6:30pm
    Lean meat or fish
    Lots of vegetables
Ocassionally some pulses or a few carbs, but still kept very low (<20g)

    9:30pm
    250g quark

Works out at about 220g protein and 2300kCals. I think this will be right for me as it's not going to be a long, drawn out cut as I haven't got too much to lose. We'll see though.

So here I am as at 22nd February - I've played with the brightness in photoshop cos it was too dark and I can't be ***** to take another

    Good pic mate

Diet looks slightly on the low side for carbs as do kcals for a day when you are doing a workout and AMC. If you were only doing the workout it wouldnt be so bad.

Like you say its only for a short period so good luck to you. Will be great to see the results. What are you cutting for again?

Cheers mate...basically I'm cutting because I hate having fat on me! I've come from a running background and have always been really lean so I'm acutely aware of storing more fat.

As for carbs and calories, I'm aware that they're a little low on both counts but I've previously cut on stupidly low amounts (before taking BBing more seriously) and seen fairly decent results, even over a longer period of time. I guess it's about tailoring really

My goal coincides with a holiday that I want to get ripped for...after that I'll reassess things and either maintain for the Summer or go on a bulk

No point doing AMC after eating a meal, its designed to be done on a completely empty stomach when insulin is at its lowest levels, insulin will be comparitively "sky high" 45 mins after all that food you're eating at 7am.

9am - drop the yoghurt and have some more protein

11:30 - nice meal, bit only an hour before weight training, won't give you much time to get those carbs ready for use for your training session.

Move your 3:30pm meal to 1hour after PWO and drop the salmon, have carbs + protein here

    6:30pm is fine

9:30pm is fine, maybe take some EFA's in the form of fish oil here?

Couldn't have put it better myself, you also do not want to be doing AMC on an empty stomach. Ur best bet is to just do some HIIT.

Cool - thanks guys. Went into the gym this morning and naturally wanted to go for HIIT, so that's what I did. I also didn't have any yoghurts so dropped that at 9am although haven't had any protein either. I don't want to have too much whey so if anyone's got any suggestions for protein here - I'd be grateful! I guess whey would be the most convenient thing though.

I can have the tuna and pita earlier - say 10:30am to 11:00am? Does the timing here depend on whether I have white or wholemeal pita?

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll keep you posted

Could have some milk protein there. Why do u want to have less whey? Because of the insulin and hunger aspect?

Partly that - partly because I just prefer solid food

But I guess it's still a good option - how about a banana and 25g whey after my cardio in the morning?

No, not a banana, too much sugar. Is a chicken sandwich or something like tht out of the question? Or an omlette with a couple pieces toast?
