At my heaviest i was 17 stone, ate crap and drank about 8 or more pints every other night,Started to get really down about my weight and decided to do somethng about it. I used to come on here all the time and read up on things, but i found too much conflicting advice, Fell for the weight loss gimmicks / patches / pills / you name it i tried looking for a miracle weight loss. At one time i even purchased the weightloss plan from another website and also purchased a well known man's diet plan. I did lose weight but maintaning it was the problem, i get bored and fall back into a unhealthy lifestyle. So with all this conflicting advice i I decided to go an see a personal trainer and nutritionist for a 1 hour consultation and he sorted out an exercise programme and a food plan. I couldt afford to see him every other day so I go and see him every 5-6 weeks to look at the progress and try out different exercises and i am loving my results. I have still got a bit to go, At least once a week i will have a day where i will eat and drink everything and anything i want and the weight is slowly still coming off.. last 3 weeks i have lost 1lb / 3lb / 2 lb. So i am making slow progress. I have included a pic of my back - when i am more confident i will try a front picture,,lol
i have been using mp protein and pulse and i have now had the best results eveer,
any comments positive or negative would be appreciated[IMG][/IMG]

yup, i am trying to get rid of as much fat as i can, got a bit of a belly and my man boobs have fairly shrunk. still getting stronger as the week goes on. When i first started my specific exercise routine i was only managing about 35pressups in the pressup challange i have been giving im my programme now i can do the hundred, same with dips, i could only manage 3x6 dips, now i can do 3x12 nearly at my desired 3x15 and stil got 2 weeks before i meet the personal trainer who wrote my programme. the press up challenge is 1 pressup holding 2 x 5kg dumbells kneel and do a full circle with them out to the front of my body then around to the sides then 2 pressups 2 circles like this
1 press up - 1 circle ( dumbells in hands all the time )
    2 press ups - 2 circles
all the way upto 10 the
    9 pressups - 9 circles
    8 pressups - 8 circles
all the way down to 1

it works out 100 pressups and 100 circles - its a killer and makes ya feel like spewing.
hope you understand what i meen. I am actually going to use this thread as a progess and record my weekly weight loss. I usually have a weigh in on a friday

    nice presses!!

if you are trying to lose fat you should add some compound barbell work in if you haven't already e.g. squats, deadlifts etc

good luck with the weigh in

will be staying well clear of the deads / squats for a while, i really done my back in a while back and couldnt even walk. I will not chance it for a while yet. i throw in a few sets every other week but only ever have the bar at 90-100kg, and i maybe just paranoid but it doesnt feel right. When i was at my heaviest i was deadlifting 160kg 3 sets, Meanwhile whilst i am having good progress i am going to avoid them. I dont want to have another injury that will set me back 6+months, if you know what i meen
