I need to find myself a good meat source. I've stopped with the tuna, was getting chicken breast when I could get to the market, otherwise I'm on skinless chicken thighs, but the problem is the protein is coming in low per 100g compared to the tuna/breasts. What type of beef are you buying? Do you get joints or packs, pricey?

Workout still looked good, even if it wasn't quite up to par. Looking forward to this cold going and getting some heavy lifting underway.
Beef joint. I think the cheapest protein sources are eggs, lamb liver, tinned salmon, cheese.

How much is the beef joint and what do you find is the best way of cooking it?

Rash - Stopped with the tuna because my girl has literally been put off for life, I was getting bored with it, the price per can was going up, and the routine of eating it and stinking out the house was getting old. Have chicken that's pre-cooked (by me) chuck in a wrap, with cheese and cottage cheese and that's it, much quicker!

James - Liver, vey cheap, I actually ate too much of it in 2010 been put off to be honest, although I was getting pigs liver. Tinned salmon and cheese? They aren't particularly cheap, also they come in high on the fat content, not that it's bad but calories could be spent on other foods ;-)

Tesco's/Local butchers standard beef joint, oven cooked to rare (which can then be eaten straight away, or reheated in microwave later - like at work), works out at around £1-£1.20p per 100g roughly £10-12 for just over a kilo, raw weight.

Ok cheers, Sainsbury's have an offer at the moment. £6.65/kg! will have to get some next week. How long do you find it lasts in the fridge, a few days?

Cooked or raw? Cooked should be good for at least 4-5 days I'd say, especially if you are microwaving. Raw meat about the same, I guess - judge it by your eyes and nose, really.

Whenever I remember to go to the market, they do 1kg of chicken breast for £4.50 that's roughly half of the cost in the stores. Is there any reason why you opt for beef, James?

What are the issues apart from the low omegas? Which could be obtained through capsules?
