Mum had EXTRMELY bad infection/cold last week (she gets them a lot thanks to crap diet etc), I caught the very minor tail of it, however hasn't stopped me training; just one of those illnesses where you feel it first thing in the morning and last thing at night... smashed 1000mg C this morning, always helps a grand amount when taken fasted, might look into glutamine too at some point just to experiment.

Great session tonight, deads flew up quite easy, then reps or weight up on everything else, back on the gains, speaking of which, after pwo meal I weighed in at 13 stone 6 pounds! Wow!

Great lifting James, especially those deads. I love it when weights fly up after stalling for a while, good sense of achievement!

Yeah tell me about it! I've learnt to just go slow on them now, I have been in a tough mental state with my deads since restarting them, since I've basically dropped 30k off them since my lower back injuries a few and a bit back, let's hope I can keep the gains constant on them now, last night felt incredible, like I have a lot more in the tank.

As a side note, diet is now solid after chopping and changing for a bit (foodstuffs), currently looking like:-

    Training days -
1pm - 300g skinless sweet potato, 150g roast beef joint (fat trimmed), 25g raw spinach. Also, 7.5ml fish oil.
4pm - 300g skinless sweet potato, 150g roast beef joint (fat trimmed), 25g raw spinach. Also, 5g creapure.
7:30pm - 325g soaked white rice, 200g roast beef joint (fat trimmed), two nori sheets. With a dessert of 225g natural yoghurt, large whole apple, 250g blueberries, 15g raw honey. Also, 7.5ml fish oil, 5g creapure.
    Totals - 180g protein, 475g carbs, 50g fat - 3050 calories.

    Rest Days
250g roast beef joint (fat trimmed), 500g skinless sweet potato, 4 hard boiled free-range eggs. Also, 7.5ml fish oil, 5g creapure.
250g roast beef joint (fat trimmed), 100g cheddar cheese, 65ml double cream, 300g natural yoghurt, 10g 90% lindt dark chocolate, small glass of shiraz red wine.
    Totals - 180g protein, 150g carbs, 133g fat - 2500 calories.

Bit of a pain eating so much cheese and beef in rest day last meal, both 'dry', as it were; but does the job and is GREAT with the dry note of a good shiraz - which equally impresses with the high quality chocolate! Lush!

NOTES: I DO want to try and erase the need for fish oil supplementation in my diet, I've managed it before, but it did mean eating a lot of fish! Now that beef is a staple in my diet, as well as good eggs, I shall re-calculate my omega 3 totals and hopefully then include the adequate amount of fish, in the shape of salmon, to replace some beef intake with a view of hitting the 2.5g EPA and 1.5g DHA (totals might actually be reversed, can't be bothered to check!) a day - thus replacing the need for fish oils supps!
