Totally haven't browsed in a while on here, god damn cheesecake thread hooked me in! No man can resist the cheesecake

Life is fine, gym-life isn't and as time gets on I just get more and more problems I swear. I haven't been to the gym in about 3 weeks, last time I did I got a bad cold the day after which put me out for 4-5 days then I was away for Christmas. Over the last month I've had neck pain which I'm sure originates from my left shoulder, basically hurts when I rotate left or move my ear towards my shoulder. I've got a different back pain that's mainly hurting when I raise my right leg straight, sitting, getting up or down or other things and my right leg is still super-tight above and behind the right knee... It's to the point that it feels like I'm losing sensation in the sole of my foot if I make a poor mans attempt at lifting my leg up straight.

With the neck I've tried spending nights with a much thinner pillow as I sleep on my right-side; figured it might be that but so far no luck.

I want to get back in the gym but I do not see a point in it at the moment.

Doing alright, as I posted on another thread life has chosen to deal the crazy card on me and I've just been trying to stay on top of everything! Had a real bad month or so of anxiety which almost cost me quite a bit. I'm mostly through that now, some lingering things that I'm learning to take control of and stop worrying about but I'll get there. How have you been? I'm going to really try and make an effort to not stop this time, aims are a bit looser and I'm going to be more easier on myself which will hopefully prevent more injuries!

sorry things haven't been easy on you, but you sound in a good place. I find training always helps, and by posting on here you get support, so all good.

I'm good, still have wobbles but dealing with them better. I'm just under 15weeks out from comp, my diet has now completely been taken over by my trainer, that starts tomorrow. Not sure how I feel about having no control over it, but I'm sure I'll be fine. Training is still as good as always

Some women like having no control *coughs*. But seriously I would love a good trainer to sit there and remind me what to do and not to do and I'm sure he/she knows what they're doing! Feeling confident about the competition?

Photos to keep track of new starting point, back looks so out of proportion to the rest of my body shots like the front shot for example... Aww well, could be worse I suppose!

Been looking at the routine I'm doing at the moment and decided that if I want to get some actual growth on my chest I'm going to need to change it.

    Current Routine:

    3x8 Bench Press
    3x8 Barbell Rows
    3x8 Bicep Curlz
    3x8 Dumbbell Overhead Press
    3x8 Dumbbell Tricep Extension
    3x8 Leg Press
    3x8 Straight Leg Curls
    3x8 Standing Calf Raise
    1x5 Deadlifts (every other session)

    What I want to change:

Replace Barbell Rows with Pull-ups - Do not feel like I get much out of rows and I do not perticularly enjoy it either
Possibly look to change the deadlift numbers - At the moment I enjoy working heavy loads on deadlifts, but I am open to opinions on whether I should change this
Add 3x15 Dumbbell Flies - Chest tiny, need bigger... Flies apparently help! Not sure where to put this but I feel it should be after Tricep Extensions as I will be at the right place for them.

Any thoughts or opinions are greatly valued, I'm not posting this on here just as a mental note!

    Very Funny!!!!!

She is a fantastic trainer, she plans everything for each individual, no mass plans dished out. She did the same comp 2 years ago ,won it and the final, the first year she competed!
I'm confident in that I will bring in my best package on the day of the competition, but no idea how I will fare against the others, i have no control over them or what the judges are looking for on the day.

Your training, flyes and wide grip dips will make changes to your chest, i found that worked along with the BP.
I find T bar rows and all variations of cable rows along with pullups/chins really build muscle on your back.
    Hope that helps
