Don't mean to offend, but do you know what they have planned for their equipment?

So will I be seeing you at the one in Denbigh any time soon?
Equipment is going to be sold to the Crusaders rugby League team I believe.

If Denbigh was closer then yeah, love a spit and sawdust place, as it stands Valhalla lookslike a viable alternative as it's 20mins closer than your place. Unsure at present though.

A gutted! Would have loved some of their stuff as it would seem be of high quality.

I guess you could say that Valhalla is a 'spit and sawdust' gym, the only difference is that the equipment is in fantastic condition. I cannot praise the place enough, if the owner doesn't like something about e.g. a machine then he'll get his mate who is an engineer (and a fellow body-builder) to alter it to perfection. How I wish I lived in Wrexham... then again.

Surely those boys with a new base this year, new coach, being pro etc would have great facilities already. Anyway, great season this year so lets hope the new equipment gives them the extra push new yr. Also, their imporvement has been great for Wales. Bring on NZ, Oz and England next year.

I have never actually ever found a 'real' gym to train at. Im currently at a 'fanny around' gym with one bar and one power rack. The plus side is that there are many plates & dbs and, I am the only person that ever uses the bar and rack.
When I was in the UK, I just trained in my rugby clubs gym or at home.

    Thank's JC!

Ha ha! That's one thing I love about my main gym - the rack is free 99% of the time!

Missed yesterday's training session, rather peeved. There is a huge chance that I would not have been able to train tomorrow either, so I decided to go for a heavy session today - not a part of the programme.

    Squats

Bar x god only knows, mixture of stances.
    60kg x 3 x 5
    100 x 2 x 5
    120 x 1
    130 x 1
    140 x 1
    150 x 1
    160 x 1
    170x 1
    180 x 1
    190 x 3

200 x 2! with relative 'ease' at that! Very confident that I could have got a third if I had recomposed myself.

    Deads
    60kg x 5
    100 x 5
    120 x 1
    140 x 1
    160 x 1
    180 x 3
    190 x 3
    Edited: 200 x 5 x 1 (not 1x5) fast...ish
Left the deads on a light note

    Bench

    bar x 15
    30 x 8
    60 x 5
    70 x 5
    80 x 5
    100 x 5
    110 x 5 x 3

    Again, on a light note.

    Bent over BB rows

    bar x 10
    60 x 5
    80 x 5
    100 x 5
    110 x 5
    120 x 5! I don't know how I did it, either
130 x 3! Not the strictest but still bloody pleased!

It is such a relief to be really progressing once more. For months I had been going into decline, so this was a true landmark session for me. My confidence in my ability has been rectified (but not too much!), and I am now more determined than ever to be the best that I can.

When I squatted 210kg, I could only just manage 1 rep on 200kg, and 2 on 190kg. To now breeze through 200kg, and laugh at 190kg means that my 1RM should have gone up, as my 1RM strength is usually significantly higher than my 2RM.

I see my goals on the horizon.

Awesome stuff fella! You'll get your goals no probs!

ATZ, there's a decent gym in Connahs Quay which ain't too far away from Mold. Gemini Fitness Centre.

Used to live in the Quay but never actually trained at Gemini. Really well kept place though, and it's a proper gym compared to most of the gash around the place

    Cheers mate!

All was well apart from the bench, really wasn't feeling it today. Probably down to the huge lack of eating over the weekend. Will not be happening again!

There's a single lift comp coming up with the WPA on the 21st of this month. If I do go for it (which I think I will), does anyone (if anyone will actually read this!) have any ideas of how I should prep for it?

Hey mate, checked out Valhalla gym last week, the place was in such a state of disrepair I don't think I could have trained there. Don't get me wrong, I have no airs and graces but when the bench press bench had no foam on the part where your head goes, and there's crap all over the floor it's not the place I'd be looking to be getting on with my training!

Nice work on the squat btw.
