My initial tendency was to grab the bar too wide and not tight enough using this set-up, I have fixed this. I did find myself completing a set of five with the initial lungful of air, the upper body seems to be staying tight doing things this way...

I panicked a bit when my missus got pregnant. Asked to get out ASAP so my head of department got me discharged to shore.
Good branch choice though, scab lifters (medics) are quite well respected.
I had a powerlifter in my class at raleigh (an ma too) he said he'd dropped loads off his lifts there.
    When's your join date?

That sounds fair enough. Did you not have to wait 12 months, no? What level was this powerlifter at? I expect to lose a lot, but I can't see it taking more than 6 months to regain my strength - its only 2 months off. I start on the 29th of April, and I can't wait!

    Training

    Squats

140 - really fast. My quads have finally decided to come back into play!

    Deads

    270kg - easy enough.

    Racks

    lol

    Fin.

I couldn't say what level. Someone asked him if he was a body builder and he said he was a power lifters. He struggled a bit with his mile and a half though he was over 30. What's your best time I got about 9.40 first run in training, pb lol. Wait till you see the shape of some of the idiots turn up in.

I've been hoping that there will be some very out of shape people, so that I look better! Is HMS Raleigh as bad as I've been told(which is very)?

    Yesterday's training

    Squats

180 - very easy on the legs, as usual, but felt heavy on my back.

    Really wide grip bench

    140kg

    Kroc rows

3x8x60kgdb's - easier than expected, can't wait to go to some real weights, next week.

    MP 3x4x80kg

    Close grip bench

    5x120

    Fin.
