Crap thread title but I had to write something. I like keeping a log online as my journal I use in real life tends to get filled with more general life stuff aside from training and diet. This saves paper basically.

    Current body stats:

    Weight: 182lbs
    Height: 5ft 11'
    Waist: 32'
    BF: ~12.5%

Currently on the leangains protocol and have been for the past 2 months. I can vouch that alongside strength training, it works.

Work days: ~2750Kcals with 140-180g Protein
Rest days: ~2000Kcals with 140-180g Protein

Been through a few phases of doing split routines and strength programs.

Currently I'm more driven by strength goals so I've reverted to the SL 5X5 for the 2nd time.

I'm starting light (for me) and these are the current weights (from my last two workouts):

Squat: 112.5kg (Max is about ~140kg from memory)
    Bench: 60kg
    Barbell Rows: 60kg
    Overhead Press: 42.5kg
Deadlift: 130kg (Did 170kg recently before I started SL5X5 so should get back up there soon enough)

I also do weighted chins and dips but these are not of major importance. I will note them regardless.

    Hi there and welcome.

I will be following your journal with interest as I seem to be following the same path as you are regarding the IF and stronglifts.

You are the same height as me, but I am a "little" heavier at 199 lbs.

It's good to see that you have some nice numbers on the lifts there, hope to see them clock up!

If your goal is strength, why are you dieting? Your strength gains will be hindered by the caloric deficit, not helped.

Appreciate it bro. Bookmarked your own journal for inspiration.

I appreciate the concern but I won't be 'cutting' for just the sake of it. I want to be ideally around 175-178lbs and just constantly improve my body composition from there.

I understand completely that me saying I'm more driven by strength goals would suggest I couldn't care less about diet, aesthetics etc but I do. I just prefer this way of training.

When the lifts stall, I will up my calories, I can assure you.

    Workout B:

    Squats: 120kg

5 x 5 - Some cheeky kent stole all the smaller plates so to save time I jumped 7.5kg instead of 2.5kg. No biggie, went fine.

    Overhead Press: 45kg

5 x 5 - Got it done but I find these a bit taxing coming into the last set. Maybe my form needs looking at.

    Deadlift: 135kg

    1 x 5 - Easy. Out the door I rolled.

Some nice lifts there, best of luck with SL and IF.

I have been using IF for about a month now and starting to get into the grove of it glad to see someone else has used and had success with it, motivates me on further.

    Best of luck.

    Cheers bro.

On the IF, I have to say the biggest plus for me is that I actually prefer eating this way. No joke, I wake up and I love the fasting part of the day, just living off black coffee, with all sorts of extra-energy I normally didn't have before.

Ha Yeh I can imagine you must be buzzing off the cofee.

I have gone for chilled water with BCAA as my sip drink of choice while mulling at lectures. Had a dude ask for what he thought was a swig of water today in my seminar, boy did he get a shock when he tasted it lol.
