S'pse so, fat is lower than its been since December although with my scales even though they are new I could get off, give another go and get a slightly different reading, but its a good guide. Cant find my calipers at the mo.

    Tues 7th Feb

Squat 5x5 @ 77.5kg (again enjoyed this and felt the form was good)
OH Press 5x5 @ 50kg (mayyyybe one more up in weight, its getting close now)
Deadlift 1x5 @ 100kg (my first step into triple figures, no issues either)
Chins 10,7,6 (slighly lower than last time but was on a different bar and had a much better fuller pull up)
EZ Bi Curls 5x5 @ 15k + Oly EZ (not sure of the weight of a Olypic EZ - this was a little easy and lazy really)

I'm on the verge of changing gym's and the new one doesn't have a squat rack so wont be able to carry on with this. Want to start HST and will have to use leg press or something but kind of don't want to stop pushing myself on this either.

I would really recommend the SL5x5 to anyone, its really addictive and from being someone that trained 6 days a week its nice to be making gains and only training 3 days a week.

The athletic side of me is bursting to go for a run or a ride though. Looking at incorporating a spin class or 2 into my rest days but need to work out how to feed that with cals etc to not have a neg on the muscle.

Yeah I have weird scales too, they are completely bewildered by water intake of any sort and I seem to have the most 'muscle' when I am the most dehydrated. I bought my own callipers a while ago but they aren't very good at all, plastic rubbish. Do you know how to take your own measurements? Seems a bit of a dark art.

What a pity about the new gym/squat rack! You sure you want to move there..?

I found a great link showing where and how to take the caliper measurements, will try and find it for you.

I'm almost sure I want to change gyms, the newer one is much nicer and has classes so I can kick start my cycling with Spinning, may delay it a month though and stay where I am.

    Thur 9th Feb

Squat 5x5 @ 80kg (Nearly had a mishap. Wasn't concentrating and leant way too far forward on one, dont know what I was daydreaming about but had potential for some lower back damage - other than that, fine)
Bench 5x5 @ 75kg (Maybe a couple more out of this, last set too a little effort)
BB Row 5x5 @ 60kg (The weights fine, just felt like I was going to pop something in my back but was OK)
EZ Bar Tri Ext 5x5 @ 35kg + Oly Bar (going to stay at this next time to work on the form and concentration)

So I've just joined this gym with the squat rack in for another month and delayed the change. They only have 1 squat rack but the times I go its nearly always free.

i'm sure you can find a spinning class in the gym with the squat rack.. or are there more compelling reasons to join the new one?

The new one is more of a fitness gym which I'll be getting back into in the next few months ready for the summer. The squat rack one is just a bodybuilding gym so doesn't have any of that kit.

Fri 10th Feb - Rest Day
Sat 11th Feb - Rest Day
Sun 12th Feb - Rest Day

Due to work etc couldn't get a third session in last week, back to the norm tomorrow tho.

Hmmm tough choice there. Maybe you could get a membership at the fitness gym and pay a day rate for the other one on squat days. Or stay at the BB gym and start cycling outside? IMO you should stay at the BB gym while you're making good progressions with your squats.

Agreed, I'm there for another month definitely so will have a re think next month.

    Mon 13th Feb

Squat 5x5 @ 82.5kg (no probs although messed up on the weights and did the first set at 90kg - that felt heavy!)
OH Press 5x5 @ 52.5kg (only just pushed this one out, will be happy if i complete the next one)
Deadlift 1x5 @ 105kg (no issues felt really good)
    Chins 10, 7, 7
EZ Bi curls 5x5 @ Oly EZ bar + 30kg (fine here, did this weight last time, just recorded it wrong)

Starting to feel the benefit of the rest days now, few aches this morning but good aches where I feel I've done something. Going to start trying to add some gentle runs in on rest days - maybe.
